(The more you read, the more you will write)
Simplifying English spelling has advantages for all English users. The advantages are for both those who English is their first language and those it is their second or tertiary language. I myself believe that by reducing or simplifying the spelling of English words so their pronounciations sound alike will be more helpful for English learners. For example, jealous and zealous, if a and u are ommited from that words, their pronounciations will sound alike. The result is for example in listening, English learners can predict that words, and write them clearly. Furthermore, simplified English spelling helps them to study effectivelly in reading, writing as well as in listening. For those who study English for the first time, it will be easy for them studying english because it is easier than traditional spellings. Easier because for the first time they learn, they use simplified model and naturally their sense will be familiar with it
Besides its advantages, there are also disadvantages. People who are familiar with old English spellings have to adapt with the new spellings. It takes time and creates problems with the english users. They will be bored and lazy to study again because people are sensitive to changes. The other effect, It baffles those who are familiar with the old spellings, and their sense will be redudant.
