Task 3. Meks –Latihan IELTS
When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to keep them alive.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
Response
Development is the part of modern life. Each nation constructs new technology in order to replace traditional technology that may be considered out of date. This technology can work faster and more accurate than the old one. It may encourage some people to think about eradicating non cutting-edge technology.
Although advanced technology offers the easier work for its users, it cannot be the reason to stop keeping traditional skills alive. Skills are human aspects that have to be grown. By stopping keeping these, it may kill people’s creativity. Textile, for example, can be produced by traditional skills. If the production using machine happens for a long time, the people skills may die out, and the younger generation would not know that skill. Furthermore, because many work can be done without using human power, it may lead people to be indolent. Traditional skills are the priceless investment. For cultural purposes, it can be used as a tool to promote the nation to other nations or people, and it can be declared as nation traditional symbol.
On the other hand, people should not keep attention to traditional skills. This may just waste people’s time, so they cannot focus more on learning how to use those new technology. The old technology does not have more contribute to help community. For example, in farm, in the past farmers used cows to farm their land, compared to modern tools, it took time. Therefore, if it is used in this age, it cannot help to fasten the cultivating process.
Though it may not less effective in using now, it should be keep because based on the cultural reason, it can contribute value to the nation.

CONTROLLING ACCESS TO THE INTERNET
TASK 2. Meks-Latihan IELTS
Many people now have personal computers and the use of electronic services such as the internet is becoming more widespread. Some people, and some parents in particular, are concerned about unlimited access to electronic services and would like this access to be controlled nationally and even internationally
To what extent do you agree with this idea of controlling access to electronic services
(Response)
Access to the information has been a part of human life. The present of internet helps human to meet this need. This media offers almost all topics related to human life including sex such as pornographic videos or images. It can be accepted that parents should worry about their child future. Debates around limited access to the internet have spread among people. Some support the idea with logical reasons, but others contend this.
All information related to human development can be found in the internet. Besides the information from books, children can use this media as learning source. For example, if children want to know about what genetically modified food is, they can surf this and visit websites the offer that information. The next point is people are free to access and to publish whatever they want including for those who like publishing pornographic materials. If this idea goes on, it may also ban learning sources for children and also restricts creativity of those who may exercise writing about sex or pornographic articles.
The problem is websites that publish pornographic videos and images can be accessed by children as well. Without limited access to those websites, children may access for information that may be harmful for them, therefore, this condition makes their parents worry. If accessing to those websites is banned, parents may allow their children to access all the information in the internet.
It can be concluded that the idea to limit the internet access may be reconsidered. By restricted access to this, it can limit the creativity and the learning sources of people.

BANNING PRIVATE MOTOR VEHICLES
Meks - Latihan IELTS
Central business as well as shopping areas in city centres all over the world are becoming increasingly congested. City governments have tried to control the number of cars entering their city centres in several ways, but not usually with great success.
What the advantages and disadvantages of banning private motor vehicles in city centres?
(Response)
Economic developments lead to the increase of business and shopping centre in almost all parts of the cities. To support this, transportation is one aspect that is developed; consequently, the number of cars entering cities is increasing. This makes governments think how to ban cars especially private motor vehicles.
Banning private motor vehicles may help governments reduce pollution problems in cities. Noise and air pollution that come from fumes and noisy machine vehicles may be reduced by decreasing number of cars. In addition, most of them are now still using fossil fuel energy as their energy sources that release carbon dioxide, the waste product that contributes to air pollution. By limiting the number of cars, it can solve traffic jam problems. The small number of cars in cities makes short line of cars. Jakarta, for example, has many private cars that operate every day so the long line cars on the road almost in all city parts cannot be avoided.
On the other hand, this policy makes those who have cars cannot move easily. For example, if the designation can be reached about an hour, it may be reached more than an hour by using public transportation. Furthermore, this also decreases of government income that can be got through tax from car users or industry related to this.
Considering the advantages of limiting cars that enter cities, it seems that governments should try hard to run their policies about it. They also should not worry about tax income because this can be replaced by other sectors.

NUCLEAR ENERGY
The threat of nuclear energy maintains world peace. Nuclear power provides cheap and clean energy.
The benefit of nuclear energy far outweigh the disadvantages.
Do you agree or disagree ?
Nuclear power is commonly considered as a detrimental technology. However, it has a lot of positive effects to our lives. Its threat can be useful in many parts and two of them are environment and agriculture.
There are two problems experienced by the world: the lack of energy and food security. To being with, the lack of energy is resulted from the limitation of fossil fuel energy. This is because this energy cannot be renewable while the need of it is increasing. Besides, the use of this conventional energy for a long time can damage ozone layer that contributes to global warming because of carbon dioxide , the waste product that is harmful to ozone layer. The idea to find alternative energy which is low cost and environmental friendly encourages experts and academicians to do researches related to this. They found that nuclear energy has some characteristics that can be the solution- It does not release carbon dioxide, and compared to conventional energy, the operation cost is low because it can produce more energy only by using a small quantity of Uranium. Because it also can be made, it can meet with the energy needs in the world. Secondly related to food security problems, shortening the amount time of food production can increase its production. It can be achieved by using genetic mutation which the nuclear technology is the main technology used to produce this.
Although the operation cost is low, the construction cost is high. This is because to construct this, it needs high technology that costs a lot of money. Besides, the radiation can make problems to our health such as cancer and other ailments. If it is used to produce weapons for battle purposes such as in Hirosima and Nagasakti, its effects can happen for a long time.
In conclusion, increasing using and development of nuclear technology is important to save the world from global warming and it also offers renewable energy which can be an alternative to meet the demands of energy.
